So, that I can continue the randomness and get myself caught up, here are two completely unrelated fun things we've done in the la
st couple of weeks. First, we finally had some warm days so we took advantage of them and headed to the splash fountains at a park by Jeremy's parents house. The kids had fun running in the water and trying to figure out exactly when the next spurt of water was coming. Makenna held her own crawling across the hard pavement toward the water like a bat out of you-know-where. She was on a mission, and we could not keep from it! She got in there with the big kids, not minding that her knees where turning a chapped pink from the cement or that at any moment a kid blinded by water may trip over h
er. She sat next to her fave and was happily splashing away, even when her gums started chattering (can gums chatter? I guess that's just an expression, cause she really doesn't have any teeth yet!)
We also went the the Clackamas County Fair with Grandma and Grandpa-'daddy
's mom and dad' (we used to distinguish our grandparents through pets, but sadly both m
y parents and Jeremy parents had to put their furry friend to sleep within two weeks of each other...so now, Audri just refers to them as 'mommy's mom and dad' or 'daddy's mom and dad') Jeremy didn't come with us because he was hosting a 'deacon's party' so he had fun playing Wii and eating pizza all night. Brayden surprised me at the fair this year. Last year he did not want to see any animals because they all 'smelled too bad' but this year, he made sure to look at e
very rabbit, llama, and sheep. He even liked the pig, though those really did smell the worst. The kids also had fun on the rides, which Audri was tall enough to ride this year (barely), YAY! The kids also loved the corn box, and I had my first grandchildren...
aren't these 'dirt babies' adorable? They made the faces and you put the bottom of the stocking in water and the grass seeds grow, kinda like a homemade Chia pet! We also pigged out o
n lots of fair fare: corn dogs, curly fries, cookies, and of course the elephant ear. Yep, if you're keeping track that makes our summer elephant ear consumption up to 4. Nice.

I used to always go to the Clackamas County Fair with my grandparents in the summer! It was always so fun! Your blog should be renamed, "Things we do in Portland so Chrissy will move back!" It's all about me, right?
looks like so much fun! we headed to our fair last night and of course the rain started dumping on us right when we pulled into the parking lot... so we turned around. luckily mcdonalds play place was enough to make the kids stop crying!
